I had a home inspection today with my First Time Home Buyer Tory today, who is a flight attendant with Southwest Airlines. We are utilizing my expertise in Down Payment Assistance to get him $10,000 in DPA from the City of Orlando.
We have an offer accepted on a great bank owned property in Orlando for $100,000. Today was our inspection and all went well except the roof which is shot, but we kind of already knew that going into the deal, my experience as a General Contractor helps many of my buyers get a feel for what kind of remodeling, TLC a property needs prior to a home inspection. This helps them narrow down which property is a better fit then another. However, I still cant emphasize the importance of a home inspection.
While walking around during the inspection we came to this strange outdoor piping situation. Picture to the right. Not sure what the thought was on this piping but it looks like something that should be in Dr. Seuss's House.

It looks like it is getting ready to walk off the wall. It does look like some type of cartoon charator. Think they used every thing they had to make the connection fit?
I love it. They used such quality material too. Is that Polybutylene.
Here are the contractors who installed that little gem......
Haha Craig I have to agree that was my thought exactly
Did it pass inspection?
LOL, looks like somebody works at Home Depot:) Did the pipe pass the inspection?:)
Looks like they used all the left overs. Did it pass inspection?
LOL @ Craig
I can picture it now the husband and his brother law drinking beer on a Saturday afternoon while digging through spare plumbing parts trying to patch a leak. Too funny.
So are they buying it?
Heather, that is just too funny! You gave it the perfect description!
Wow this job in nothing without the constant surprises! Too funny!
Heather, great photo. I always have my camera with me on inspections but always forget to pull it out to get shots like this.
Now that's a great idea for a group on AR! Post nothing but silly pics from home inspections! How fun would THAT be?!
